Day 1: HOME CITY - GUAYAQUIL
Depart home city for GUAYAQUIL, Ecuador’s vibrant port city on the Pacific Ocean. Meet and Greet upon arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: GUAYAQUIL CITY TOUR
City Tour begins with drive through the bustling streets of Ecuador’s largest city. Visit Simon Bolivar Park with iguanas roaming freely, the busy waterfront and docks, and La Rotonda, with its statues of Simon Bolivar and Carlos San Martin, clasping hands as they did in 1822, marking the only meeting of these two leaders of the South American independence movement in the early 19th century. Then to Barrio Las Penas, charming colonial section of wooden buildings many of which today house art galleries. From Santa Ana enjoy panoramic view of the city and immense Guayas River delta. Visit famous white cemetery with gardens of elaborate marble sculptures and mausoleums, an imposing 20th century necropolis in ancient Greco-Roman style, and the new Religious Art Museum of Nahim Isaias Barquet.
Day 3: GUAYAQUIL – HOME CITY
Morning free for relaxing, or last minute souvenir shopping before flight homeward. At appointed time, transfer to airport for flight home.
